5 Couples We Admire this National Marriage Week
Jim Jenkins / 0 Comments /To all of the couples out there who survived – sorry – celebrated National Marriage Week February 14-17 with their other half, this blog is dedicated to you.
Because marriage is a beautiful thing, right? But let’s be honest – all that in sickness and in health and for better or for or worse stuff? Well, some weeks it can test our patience.
So, here’s to 5 couples we admire. They’ve got what it takes to go the distance, and here’s why.
Power couple #1 Marge and Homer
What we admire Forgiveness
These two have kept their vows through almost affairs, mistakes, blackmail, a spider-pig, and even that time Homer nearly caused a nuclear meltdown but then saved the day. These guys are a lesson to us all in one of the cornerstones in any union: forgiveness.
Power couple #2 Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds
What we admire Friendship
OK, apart from the fact that Blake and Ryan have looked super cute together since they played love interests in the 2011 movie Green Lantern, we love their friendship.
“We were such good friends for so long and we both got to know each other as friends,” Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly.
Power couple #3 Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen
What we admire Family comes first
When 7-time Super Bowl Champion Tom posted a retirement message on Instagram, he praised his supermodel wife Gisele. “Our family is my greatest achievement.” The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won’t be the same without him, but his wife and three children come first.
Power couple #4 Oprah Winfrey & Stedman Graham
What we admire Encouragement
Having a super successful mate like Oprah doesn’t bother long-term love, Stedman. The pair have been together since 1986. “I want her to succeed,” Stedman stated on the Own Network, “and to be as successful as she can possibly be, so I encourage that.”
Power couple #5 Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi
What we admire Inspiration
Just after the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on same-sex marriage in 2008, this loved-up pair decided to wed. They have broken barriers and inspired others with their love story. The couple is each other’s best friend and encourages the other to be their true self.
For better or for worse
Jim and Kelly-Ann were college sweethearts who both studied at Furman and Stetson University. Little did they know that their friendship would grow into a lifelong partnership.
This power couple is each other’s sounding board, cheering squad, and safe place to fall. They’ve got each other’s backs. Supporting each other’s passion is an important ingredient in their marriage – whether that’s planning their next trip to somewhere exotic or telling the other to push through in a sporting challenge.
Jim and Kelly-Ann have built a law firm to be proud of, together with their amazing team. Their personal service means that Jenkins Law PL is there for you during times of stress and worry, whether that’s a personal injury or car accident, a fire, flood, or hurricane.
Like any good marriage, the team at Jenkins Law PL is there for you in good times and in bad.
We would love to hear from you to see how we can be of service.
