Keep on Running: Kelly-Ann’s World Marathon Challenge

June 1 was Global Running Day, and our very own Kelly-Ann marked the day by getting out and doing what she loves best: running.

You see, when Kelly-Ann is not fighting for the rights of personal injury victims, she’s training for her next running challenge. And these days, she’s training for something a little bit special…

Challenge accepted

Now, you might recall that last October Kelly-Ann ran the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, New York. Pretty impressive, right? Well, then she ran the Boston Marathon in April of this year. And naturally, the whole team cheered her every difficult step of the way.

But if there’s one thing we know about Kelly-Ann, it’s that she loves a challenge. And oh boy, is her next challenge a big one. Between October 22 and October 31, Kelly-Ann will endure the physical and logistical challenge of a lifetime, participating in the World Marathon Challenge.

It’s… wait for it… 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents.

Yes, folks, that’s 7 grueling marathons, across Antarctica, Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe, South America, and North America.

It’s going to be tough, but Kelly-Ann knows that preparation is key, and she has been training for months now. She also knows that it’s all going to be worth it. That’s because this challenge is a labor of love. Kelly-Ann is completing the challenge to raise funds and awareness for MS, the neurological condition that her sister Christine was diagnosed with.

Kelly-Ann is grateful for all of the sponsorships and kind words of encouragement she has received so far.

Here’s to all of you runners out there

We take our hats off to anyone with the passion, drive, and dedication to be a runner. It takes an incredible amount of willpower and sacrifice to get out there in all weather. Let’s face it, we all have good intentions, but life gets in the way. The best runners are those who wake up and feel that even though lacing up those running shoes is the last thing they feel like doing, they do it anyway.

Running has so many benefits for the mind and body. It’s a great way to stay active, healthy, and beat stress. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or someone who’s slowly finding your pace, this summer why not push yourself that little bit harder? Who knows, maybe by fall you’ll have hit your very own personal best.

Remember, when you’re getting your fitness up to the next gear, the roads can be dangerous for runners. Refresh yourself on our tips to exercise safely outdoors and be safe and be seen when you’re out there.

When your luck runs out…

Accidents happen. Sometimes, regardless of how careful we are, we never know when we share the road with a distracted or drunk driver. And sadly, that’s when lives can come crashing down.

As a runner herself, Kelly-Ann knows the sheer devastation that a personal injury can cause. A serious injury can lead to mental anguish, physical pain, loss of income, and staggering medical bills.

You’ll need compensation to get back on your feet, and an understanding, dedicated lawyer at your back. At Jenkins Law P.L, we are an experienced team with extensive knowledge in this area, and we can aggressively advocate for you.

Get in touch with any questions, and we’ll put you first.
