It’s Official: Love Your Lawyer Day is Here and We’re Up For it!

C’mon now, you know that was funny, even the team at Jenkins Law PL can’t object.
The truth is that lawyer jokes have been around for a long time. They’ve been the butt of jokes, shown in an unflattering light, and portrayed as the nasties in movies. Even Shakespeare took a swipe at lawyers in Henry VI when he wrote “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.”
Ouch!
But let’s get one thing straight: lawyers have a bad rap, yet they do so much good. A great lawyer is there for you in your darkest days, in your time of stress and worry. In November, we celebrate #LoveYourLawyerDay, and we think it’s the perfect time to celebrate the legal eagles who’ve got it going on.
A brief history of law
Don’t worry, there’s no exam at the end of this, we just wanted to let you know that law goes back as far as the 18th Century BC. This Babylonian king, Hammurabi, was known for the codification of law – all things from punishment for crimes to wages for services and familial laws. All of this was to ensure fairness and justice in society.
Today, the law is more complex, and modern lawyers deal with defense, representation, prosecution, regulations, and codes. Then there’s the fun stuff: filing permits and drafting documents.
All of these roles keep society running smoothly, and we think of lawyers as legal warriors who are there for those who need it.
Do you love your lawyer?
If you’re shaking your head no to this question, it’s time to move on. After all, the time you need a layer is likely your toughest time – when you’re reeling from a personal injury or car accident, or when you need help with an insurance claim following something devastating in your home like a fire, flood, or hurricane. Chances are you’ve got lots on your mind: the damage to your property or vehicle, a loss of income, or those growing medical bills.
If you’re not being represented by someone with outstanding experience and expertise, you can do better. If you’re not having your calls returned by someone with understanding and compassion, you can do better.

Now, some people were just born to be lawyers. Take Jim and Kelly-Ann Jenkins for example. Their purpose was carved out years ago, studying for the bar exam at Furman University where they met.
