Amanda Sidman

Amanda Sidman is a native Floridian hailing from the greater Fort Lauderdale area. She attended the University of Central Florida graduating in 2009 with a major in English Literature and a minor in Writing. Following her college graduation, Amanda returned to South Florida to attend the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, graduating in 2014. While in law school Amanda worked full time as a trial paralegal at a high-volume litigation practice, as well as serving as a member of the Student Bar Association, Moot Court Honor Society, and Nova Law Review.

Amanda has experience handling all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, deposing witnesses, negotiating settlements, and obtaining judgments. Amanda has experience in first and third-party property damage and property insurance claims, bad faith claims, negligence, breach of contract, condominium law, foreclosure and evictions, debt collector and creditor compliance with consumer protection statutes, and general civil litigation. Amanda has tried numerous cases by jury and non-jury and has handled several appeals.

Prior to joining Jenkins Law, Amanda worked at a large South Florida Plaintiff’s firm where she served as the Managing Attorney and oversaw a practice group focused on expeditious resolution of first party property insurance and property damage claims. The majority of Amanda’s career has been devoted to the representation of homeowners in insurance claim disputes involving underpayments and wrongful denials of coverage.

Amanda lives in Fort Lauderdale with her husband, Jeremy, her two children, Charlotte and William, and her four cats Chunk, Ninja, Lady, and Pang.
